Assembly & Wiring Guide (Read Before Building)

Important: Basic soldering skills are required. Review all steps before beginning.

1. Battery & Switch Wiring

SAFETY FIRST: Cutting battery wires requires extreme care. Do NOT let the red (+) and black (–) wires touch after cutting to avoid a dangerous short circuit.

  1. Prepare Wires: Cut the connector off your battery. Strip ~3-4mm from the battery's red and black wires, and from the included JST-PH pigtail wires.
  2. Wire the Switch (Positive +): Solder the battery's red wire to one of the outer pins on the switch. Solder the pigtail's red wire to the center pin on the switch.
  3. Connect Ground (Negative –): Solder the battery's black wire directly to the pigtail's black wire.
  4. Insulate: Securely cover the soldered ground connection with heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape.

Do not connect the pigtail to the board until final assembly.

2. Final Assembly

  1. Install the power switch and LoRa SMA pigtail into the case cutouts.
  2. Mount your WisMesh Board ONE into the case and secure it with screws.
  3. Use double-sided tape to secure the battery to the inside of the back cover.
  4. Attach your external LoRa antenna to the SMA connector. This is required before powering on.
  5. Plug the wired JST pigtail into the board's battery port.
  6. Close the enclosure and secure it with the final case screws. Test the power switch.
